🌿✨ Garden Revitalization in Littleover, Derbyshire ✨🌿

We’re excited to share the transformation we recently completed for a client in Littleover, Derbyshire. Our journey with this garden began with a request for a heavy prune-back of the existing shrubs and plants. While this cleared the space, the client felt the garden was now lacking color and interest, with the borders looking quite empty. To make matters more challenging, the garden was in complete shade, and the soil was heavy with clay, making plant selection a concern.

🌱 Step 1: Digital Design for a Shady Garden
After discussing the client’s vision and concerns, we created a digital computer-generated design to help visualize the future of the garden. Using this design, we recommended plant combinations that would thrive in the shady conditions of the borders, ensuring both color and texture would bring the space to life. We carefully selected shade-tolerant plants that would flourish in the clay-heavy soil and provide year-round interest.

🌿 Step 2: Sourcing the Perfect Plants
Once the design was approved, we placed an order with our trusted suppliers to source the right perennials and shrubs. These plants were chosen not only for their ability to thrive in low light but also for their vibrant blooms, foliage, and overall seasonal interest.

🔨 Step 3: Soil Preparation
Before planting, we worked to improve the soil quality by treating the heavy clay to ensure proper drainage and fertility. This gave the plants the best possible start in their new home and set the stage for long-term garden health.

🌸 Step 4: Planting & Aftercare
Once the soil was prepared, we carefully planted the selected shrubs and perennials. The end result was a beautifully balanced garden, filled with a variety of colors, textures, and forms, specifically suited to thrive in the shady, clay-heavy borders. After planting, we provided the client with detailed aftercare advice to ensure the plants settled in well and flourished in their new environment.
