These Terms & Conditions apply to all gardening, landscaping, tree work and maintenance services provided by The Garden Rangers Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“you”).
By instructing us to carry out works, you confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
1. Quotations & Pricing
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
All dimensions, quantities and measurements are approximate and subject to site conditions.
Prices include labour and agreed materials only, unless stated otherwise.
Waste removal is included only where explicitly stated within the quotation.
We reserve the right to revise pricing where unforeseen site conditions are encountered, including but not limited to hidden roots, underground services, restricted access, unstable ground or contamination.
Quotations may be withdrawn or revised after 6 months due to changes in material or labour costs.
2. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be stated on the quotation or invoice.
Unless otherwise agreed:
-
Maintenance works are payable in full upon completion.
-
Landscaping and construction works may require a deposit and staged payments.
All materials remain the property of The Garden Rangers Limited until paid in full.
Late payments may incur interest and recovery charges in line with UK legislation.
3. Access & Working Conditions
The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the site, including parking where possible.
We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, client changes, third-party interference, weather conditions, supplier delays or labour availability.
Completion dates are indicative only and subject to weather and site conditions.
4. Living Materials & Natural Variability
Plants, turf, trees and soils are natural, living materials.
We cannot guarantee growth rates, establishment, flowering, or long-term survival due to factors beyond our control, including weather, soil conditions, pests, disease, irrigation and client aftercare.
Aftercare advice will be provided where relevant. Ongoing maintenance remains the responsibility of the client unless a maintenance agreement is in place.
5. Ecological & Wildlife Protection
All works are subject to current UK wildlife and environmental legislation.
Where nesting birds, bats or other protected species are present, works may be delayed or modified accordingly. We cannot be held liable for delays arising from legal ecological constraints.
6. Existing Services & Hidden Risks
The client is responsible for identifying all underground and hidden services.
We accept no liability for damage to unmarked pipes, cables, drainage, irrigation systems or foundations.
We are not responsible for pre-existing structural weaknesses or defects.
7. Root, Stump & Invasive Growth
No guarantee can be given against regrowth of roots, stumps or invasive plants following removal or chemical treatment, as this depends on conditions beyond our control.
8. Property Protection
While reasonable care is taken, gardening and landscaping works may cause temporary disturbance to lawns, borders, surfaces and access routes, particularly in wet conditions or during machinery use.
9. Variations & Additional Works
Any additional or varied works must be agreed prior to undertaking and may affect the contract price and timescale.
10. Waste & Disposal
Waste will only be removed where specified in the quotation.
Disposal is carried out via licensed facilities.
General household waste is excluded unless specifically agreed.
11. Neighbouring Property Access
Where access to neighbouring land is required, it is the client’s responsibility to obtain permission.
12. Cancellation
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation charge to cover labour and material costs.
13. Complaints
Any concerns must be raised within 7 days of completion. We will aim to resolve all matters promptly and professionally.
14. Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the works carried out.
We are not responsible for future ground movement, subsidence, weather-related damage or third-party interference.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Privacy & Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR.
Information is used solely for the provision of services, communication, invoicing and legal compliance.
We do not sell or share client data with third parties except where required to deliver services.
