Belper Garden Restoration 2026
Once the pride and joy of an elderly couple who lovingly cared for it over many years, the garden had become heavily overgrown after they sadly moved on. Their family is now responsible for preparing the property for sale — and wanted the garden restored with care, not stripped back.
Our work involved carefully reopening pathways, working through dense borders, restoring ponds, removing invasive growth and revealing the original structure of this idyllic cottage garden. January was the perfect time to do this work — before bulbs and perennials begin to surface — allowing us to reset the garden without damaging what was already there.
During the visit, a relative shared photographs of the garden in its prime and spoke about the happy memories made here by a couple who truly loved their plants and outdoor space. That understanding shaped how we approached the work — thoughtful, respectful restoration rather than heavy clearance.
We’ll now be maintaining the garden until the house sells, keeping it presentable and cared for, ready for new owners to inherit and enjoy.
If you’re responsible for an established garden that needs sensitive restoration or ongoing care — particularly during a house sale — this is exactly the kind of work we specialise in.
