Aston on Trent 2025
This project was broken down into clear phases to give the garden structure, privacy and long-term usability.
We began by removing and dismantling the old shed, clearing the space and responsibly disposing of all waste. From there, the garden received a full tidy-up and a fresh mulch layer, instantly lifting the borders and improving soil condition.
As we worked through the borders, existing perennials and bulbs were carefully identified and preserved, while heavily overgrown hedging was cut back and established shrubs were pruned and reshaped to restore balance and structure rather than stripping everything out.
Privacy was the next priority. We planted two large, established trees — a 4m Quercus ilex and a mature Magnolia grandiflora — both professionally planted and securely staked to provide year-round screening and long-term structure.
Finally, we created a dedicated fruit and vegetable growing area, removing old gravel and membrane, rotovating to relieve compaction, improving the soil with organic matter, and preparing the space so fruit trees and crops can thrive straight away.
A practical garden, restored with care and designed to improve year after year. Now we have a planting scheme to sort for the customer ready for Spring 2026.
If you’re looking to restructure your garden, add privacy, or create productive growing space, now is the perfect time to start planning.
