Our client wanted a space they could enjoy from the front window, without the heavy upkeep. We designed a scheme using bright cobbles, Scottish pebbles, and Mediterranean-inspired stone to reflect the light and lift the whole frontage. To keep everything neat and practical, we also installed a decorative bull-nosed edging against the kerb — preventing the stone from spilling onto the pavement and ensuring the garden always looks tidy.
For planting, we introduced a carefully chosen mix to give year-round structure and seasonal highlights: Uncinia rubra ‘Everflame’, Hakonechloa macra, Black Ophiopogon (Mondo grass), and Cornus sanguinea ‘Midwinter Fire’ for vibrant winter stems. These were combined with a range of other perennials, including the UK native Polystichum setiferum evergreen fern, to add texture, colour, and long-lasting interest. 🌸🌿
Alongside the installation, we provided full aftercare advice so the garden will stay vibrant and manageable for years to come. This is how expert planting design and thoughtful landscaping can completely transform a space. Just a few more plants to go in – and the garden will be complete!
