Posted by Manuel Cover on May 02, 2022

– Long live the Queen – Bees are very important as much as other insects to guarantee the pollination of plants, the conservation of the plant world in terms of biodiversity by regulating entire ecosystems, thus guaranteeing the production of food for global needs. They must be protected first of all for these factors but let us remember that thanks to their work we can, through beekeeping, take advantage of their nourishment substances such as honey, pollen, royal jelly and propolis, all necessary for the reproduction of the colonies. Let’s talk about pollen which is the means by which the fertilization of the flower takes place, can you see those orange balls attached to the bee? Are pollen sacs, baskets where to deposit the pollen grains and once they have reached the right weight they are transported by the forager bee inside the hive in the nest to ensure nourishment for the entire colony, the pollen represents the protein part of the diet, honey from the nectar the part of simple sugars while the royal jelly which is rich in both is destined to the higher floors, for her majesty the Queen and the whole royal family.
